Yes, this means that your account might be closed because you're not playing from Japan. I'm not exactly sure why they would be doing this, maybe there's some legal stuff going on, but be prepared. From now on you won't be able to play the game with a non-Japanese ID anymore either. When done loading the game this error message pops up:

An error occurred during communication.
Please try again with good wifi location or connection.
While it's entirely possible that your wifi is indeed bad, the error is probably happening due to you not using a Japanese IP adress.
It's sad that this is happening, we all had fun with this game. Maybe they actually plan a worldwide release but I doubt there's enough players for it.
